Shao-Ning Huang, ex-Group Deputy CEO, Jobs Central

Speaker Profile:
Shao-Ning co-founded JobsCentral group in 2000 and grew it from a two-man start-up to a 150-man online recruitment business across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. JobsCentral was acquired by CareerBuilder (USA) in 2011 where Shao-Ning served as Group Deputy CEO / Singapore Managing Director until June 2014. Her key accomplishments during the period include the successful integration of the Singapore platform with the global operations, the launch of CareerBuilder Indonesia and the introduction of the SaaS products in South East Asia.

As the JobsCentral Managing Director, Shao-Ning was directly responsible for the Singapore business operations and regional market development for SaaS products in her last 18 months. She oversaw a 205% EBITDA growth for the Singapore operation and built strong traction for the eRecruitment SaaS products. On a personal level, she is most proud of ensuring a smooth transition on the acquisition and subsequent integration. To date, Shao-Ning remains as a shareholder in the Malaysia and Indonesian businesses.

 

After taking a break of almost a year, Shao-Ning is now starting a video platform, 2minutestoday.com, to provide short video clips designed to help women be more confident and live a balanced life. In addition, Shao-Ning continues mentoring and advising start-ups (started in 2009) She is very happy to see an increasing number of women taking up the challenge of entrepreurship. 

Shao-Ning is mother to four boys, aged 13, 12, 7 and 1+.
